Broken Promises Rescue is a non-profit rescue, located in Victoria, BC. We help local homeless animals find forever homes. Our focus is on improving the lives of abandoned, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Most of these animals are in the shelter system and are not being adopted for reasons like medical issues, looks, size and age. Many fabulous items with all proceeds going to the animals in our care! We work with many shelter animals that have run out of options, most have complex medical issues making vet costs our biggest challenge. Since the beginning of January this year, we have already spent over $30,000 caring for the animals in our rescue. We receive no grants or government assistance making fundraisers like the auction so important to us. So please bid on these wonderful items!

Virus complaints and Maintenance Issues:
Due to ongoing Virus reports on our site we have now had our site stripped clean and re-installed with many security measures to ensure this won’t happen again. So our site is now clean!

The real Kai under all that smelly matted mess. Begs the question on why people get dogs that need grooming if they are never ever going to consider doing it! These little guys are lovely but you need to be prepared to spend $45-$75 every six weeks or so to keep them comfortable and mat free.
This little guy just stood still for the 1 1/2 hours it took to get that mess off him, he knew he was getting help.

Fencing Supplies Needed! We are looking for some fencing supplies to add a dog yard for the rescue pups. We are looking for some 4×4 post or land ties even but they would need to be 7-8′ long. Also would love to have a few solid panels for the front. If you can help, please let us know!

Our Featured Dog:
Holly is our HeelerX momma. She came to us in January and gave us 6 puppies two days later! Her pups are off to new homes now and it’s time for Holly to have her own forever home. She’s spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed- ready to go!
Holly is about 4 years old, loves to be with her people. Her foster mom says she is a lovely dog to have around. She is currently living with another dog. If you are interested in Holly please email us at brokenpromisesrescue@shaw.ca
